With roots dating back to 1980, EMSE Engineering Inc. is an established engineering company delivering technology-driven solutions designed to accelerate processes and enhance operational efficiency. The name EMSE is derived from the Turkish phrase Elektro Mekanik Sistemler Endüstrisi (Electro Mechanical Systems Industry), reflecting its strong foundation in hardware and electro-mechanical systems.

EMSE stands out particularly in queue management systems and self-service passenger automation solutions, positioning itself as a leading hardware-focused technology provider in these domains.
Established within EMSE, Quavis is an R&D-driven software company and a brand of EMSE A.Åž. The name Quavis stands for Qualified Aviation Solutions, underscoring its specialisation in aviation technologies. While EMSE delivers robust electro-mechanical infrastructure, Quavis focuses on advanced software architectures and system intelligence.

Together, EMSE and Quavis operate as an integrated technology group, combining hardware and software expertise to deliver end-to-end, future-oriented automation solutions.

EMSE and Quavis develop integrated passenger automation solutions that enhance airport efficiency and elevate the travel experience. Today, their technologies are deployed in more than 40 airports across Türkiye and international markets.

Check-in kiosks and self bag drop systems designed and manufactured by EMSE are actively used at major hubs, including Istanbul Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport, EsenboÄŸa Airport, and Ercan Airport in Cyprus. As the developer of Türkiye’s first self-service baggage drop system, EMSE delivers high-performance electro-mechanical passenger processing technologies.
Within the group structure, EMSE leads industrial design, product engineering, and hardware manufacturing processes. Quavis—Qualified Aviation Solutions and a brand of EMSE A.Åž.—is responsible for software architecture, system integration, and project management. Quavis develops the digital backbone of passenger automation systems, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless operational continuity.

Quavis is a Strategic Partner of IATA in the CUSS (Common Use Self Service) domain, reinforcing its alignment with global aviation standards and interoperability requirements.

In 2024, Quavis expanded into the European market through its Germany-based entity, strengthening the group’s international presence and positioning in the global aviation technology ecosystem.
